You’ll receive your confirmation promptly via the app. Just come to the studio on time within the indicated slot. Your treatment starts after just a minimum time of waiting.
Indicated waiting times may vary as preceding waxings may in individual cases be shorter or longer than planned.
Download the Q app for free in the App Store (for iOS operating system) or the Google Play Store (Android). Simply access the store from your smartphone and enter the keyword: “q waxing app” or “q wax check in” in the search box. After you have installed your app, you may register by email and then create your personal account which you use whenever you wish to check in online. You can log in simply via Facebook or Twitter, too.
The projected waiting time may vary minimally, depending on the shorter or longer duration of the preceding client's treatment. You are therefore kindly requested to allow for some lead time: you should always be at the studio at least 10 minutes ahead of the displayed time to be sure not to miss your slot. Because even with the app, our concept remains flexible, i.e. the displayed slot is not a fixed appointed but an estimated time, which means that some delays may occur.
Sure. Pushing the “cancel” button right in the app allows you to cancel your check-in any time you wish.
The waiting period is always calculated “live” in real time. What probably happened is that a treatment at the studio took longer or shorter than originally envisaged – which will automatically change the waiting time displayed in the app.
The waiting time shown in the app is updated once every minute. This keeps all clients posted about how busy the studio is at any given time.
It would be best to show up at the studio a bit earlier, prior to the given slot. Otherwise a client showing up before you may get the slot. In that case you will go back on the waiting list for the next available slot. This may cause a longer waiting time at the studio. So it pays to show up a bit ahead of time! In case we would need to postpone your slot a few times, we reserve the right to cancel it.
No, ‘0 minutes waiting time’ means that there are no current waiting times at the studio. In that case, you are recommended to proceed directly to the studio in case you are close by. And to check in personally at the front desk. Because online check-in at '0 Minutes waiting time' does not mean the studio will wait for you or that you will be served right away if you arrive at a later time. If another client has checked in personally at the studio in the meantime, that client will be served first and your treatment will be postponed accordingly. Although you will be taken on the waiting list, you may have to wait a bit at the studio. We reserve the right to cancel the slots that have been postponed a few times.
This may be due to several causes: There are likely many clients confirmed in our booking software and no additional client can be fit in during opening hours. Besides, even we aren't immune to the odd technical problem, and we kindly beg your indulgence and patience in that case.
That's not a problem at all: simply have the waxing treatments changed at the studio. No need to cancel the booking or to check in a second time.

No, because we always abide by our "walk-in" policy. Booking is "live", and you will always be booked for the next available slot. WAX IN THE CITY is a firm believer in its traditional flexibility policy - for maximum flexibility in serving our clients. No appointments are possible – we are strictly walk-in. The biggest advantage of our app check-in: you will be checked in for the next available time slot without need of first checking in personally at the studio. This makes our “walk-in service” even more convenient for you.
Don’t worry, our App won't access your pictures or media files. Android users will additionally have to confirm certain authorizations in order to download the App. Why? In software development software modules of third-party providers can sometimes be in use in order to achieve a desired feature. These modules sometimes end up not being used in the final version of the App but are still perceived as a part of the aforementioned modules. Android users will have to confirm these authorizations, as otherwise they won’t be able to install the App on their phone. We hope for your understanding.
